Are you passionate about cinema? Do you have a distinctive perspective and want to challenge yourself through the creative journey of short filmmaking?
The inaugural Van Hien Vision Short Film Festival 2026 has officially been launched, providing a creative platform for individuals and filmmaking teams who share a passion for cinema. The festival offers participants an opportunity to showcase their talent, storytelling vision, and short-film production skills while promoting creative values that embody the distinctive spirit of Van Hien.
Eligibility
* Vietnamese individuals or filmmaking teams with an interest in and passion for cinema.
* Students of Van Hien University; students from other universities and colleges; high school students; members of film clubs; and members of young filmmaking communities.
* Contestants may participate individually or in teams, with no limit on the number of team members. Each individual or team may submit a maximum of one entry.
Competition Format
The festival consists of three rounds:
Round 1: First Frame – Opening the Frame**
Entries are received from eligible individuals and filmmaking teams.
Round 2: VHU Film Challenge – The Van Hien Imprint**
Selected teams produce a new short film using VHU-related props or symbols as a central element of the production.
Round 3: VHU Premiere Gala – The Van Hien Vision Showcase**
Finalist films are officially premiered and evaluated by the judging panel, followed by the award presentation ceremony.

+ Seven Emerging Talent Awards:** VND 3,000,000 per award
+ Media Impact Award – Semifinal Round:** VND 1,000,000
+ Most Popular Film Award – Final Round:** VND 1,000,000
+ Best Soundtrack Award:** VND 1,000,000
+ Outstanding Actor Award and Outstanding Actress Award:** VND 500,000 per award
