Affirming the Creative Abilities and Production Thinking of Students in the Film & Television Field
Recently, the Faculty of Arts at Van Hien University successfully organized the Award Ceremony for the “Beat & Frame - When the Frame Sings” Music Video Creation Contest. This event not only marked the conclusion of the students' creative journey but also served as a meaningful academic activity, contributing to the integration of theoretical training with practical experience in the creative industry.
The contest was designed as an experiential learning model, where students directly participated in the entire process of producing a complete music video (MV). From conceptualizing the idea, developing the script, organizing production, filming, editing, to post-production, every stage required a blend of artistic thinking, professional skills, and teamwork. Through this process, students had the opportunity to apply the knowledge they had learned to real-world situations while also developing their creative content capabilities in the context of modern multimedia communication.
Particularly, the contest clearly reflected the training orientation of the Film & Television Technology and Film & Television Directing programs, where students are not only equipped with theoretical knowledge but also trained in production skills and visual storytelling, one of the core competencies of the art industry.
The judging panel highly appreciated the quality of this year's entries, which demonstrated serious investment both in content and presentation. Many of the works showed clear progress in building visual language, sound design, and the ability to convey emotions through MV structures.

Through the contest, students not only affirmed their professional abilities but also demonstrated their proactive learning spirit and adaptability to the professional creative environment. This is also a testament to the effectiveness of the practical-oriented training method that the Faculty of Arts at Van Hien University is implementing.
In the context of the rapidly growing digital content and entertainment industry, organizing academic platforms like “Beat & Frame” plays a significant role in discovering, nurturing, and developing high-quality human resources for the Film & Television field in Vietnam.
